DroneSportUK Event Policy & Disclaimer

Event Policy:

At DroneSportUK, we are committed to providing a safe, competitive, and enjoyable environment for all participants in our drone racing events. The following policy outlines our guidelines for participation, safety, and responsibility during our events. By registering for and attending any of our events, participants agree to adhere to the rules and regulations set forth below.

 

1. Event Registration and Participation

  • Eligibility: All participants must register in advance and meet the eligibility criteria for the specific event. Participants must provide accurate and up-to-date information when registering.

  • Age Requirements: Participants must be of the appropriate age to compete in events. Specific age requirements may vary depending on the event category.

  • Drone Compliance: All drones used in events must meet the technical specifications and safety requirements outlined by DroneSportUK. Participants must ensure that their drones are in good working condition and comply with event regulations.

 

2. Safety Protocols

  • Pre-Event Safety Briefing: All participants must attend a mandatory safety briefing before competing in any event. Failure to attend the safety briefing may result in disqualification from the event.

  • Drone Safety: Drones must be operated in a manner that ensures the safety of all participants, staff, and spectators. Any reckless or unsafe flying will result in immediate disqualification.

  • Emergency Procedures: In the event of an emergency, participants must follow the directions of event staff and organisers. Emergency protocols, including evacuation procedures, will be communicated during the safety briefing.

 

3. Event Conduct

  • Respect for Others: All participants are expected to behave in a respectful and professional manner. Disruptive or disrespectful behaviour will not be tolerated and may result in disqualification from the event.

  • Fair Play: DroneSportUK is committed to promoting fair competition. Participants must adhere to the rules of the event and operate their drones within the limits set by the organisers.

 

4. Event Cancellations and Rescheduling

  • Force Majeure: DroneSportUK reserves the right to cancel or reschedule any event due to unforeseen circumstances, including, but not limited to, adverse weather conditions, safety concerns, or logistical issues. In the event of cancellation, participants will be notified as soon as possible.

  • Refund Policy: Refunds for event fees will be provided only in the event of cancellation by DroneSportUK. No refunds will be issued if a participant is unable to attend or withdraws from the event.

 

5. Liability and Insurance

  • Insurance: DroneSportUK may provide insurance coverage for event participants, but this coverage is limited to specific event activities. Participants are encouraged to secure their own insurance if they wish to ensure full coverage.

  • Event Risks: All participants acknowledge that there are inherent risks associated with drone racing and that participation in events involves physical and technical challenges. Participants agree to take full responsibility for their actions during the event.

 

Disclaimer:

By participating in any DroneSportUK event, each participant agrees to the following terms and conditions:

  1. Assumption of Risk: The participant acknowledges that drone racing and related activities involve certain inherent risks, including but not limited to injury, property damage, and potential harm to the drone or other participants. The participant voluntarily assumes all such risks associated with their involvement in the event.
     

  2. Release of Liability: The participant agrees to relieve and hold harmless DroneSportUK, its organisers, sponsors, partners, volunteers, and any other associated parties from any and all liability, claims, damages, or injuries that may arise during the event. This includes, but is not limited to, any damage or injury caused by the participant’s own actions or those of other participants.
     

  3. Full Responsibility: The participant acknowledges and agrees that they are fully responsible for their actions and decisions during the event. The participant will not hold DroneSportUK or its affiliates responsible for any accidents, injuries, losses, or damages that occur during the event.
     

  4. Indemnification: The participant agrees to indemnify and hold harmless DroneSportUK from any third-party claims or legal actions arising from the participant’s involvement in the event. This includes any claims resulting from property damage, personal injury, or breach of event policies.
     

  5. Compliance: The participant agrees to comply with all DroneSportUK event policies, rules, and safety guidelines. Non-compliance may result in disqualification and exclusion from future events.

 

Agreement to Terms:

By registering for and participating in any DroneSportUK event, the participant acknowledges that they have read, understood, and agree to abide by the Event Policy and Disclaimer above. The participant also confirms that they accept full responsibility for their actions and waive any right to hold DroneSportUK or its affiliates liable for any damages or injuries incurred during the event.
